The Story Thus Far

Jarrod Washburn is off to a blazing start for the Anaheim Angels

Since I started my Angels 2002 replay before I had any idea I would be undertaking this little blog project I thought I would get everyone up to speed as to where I am with the Angels. It’s currently at April 23rd, 2002 and the Angels are off to a 13-7 start giving them a 2 game lead over the Mariners. While the Halos have dropped their last two games in a row they’ve managed to win seven of their last ten. Garret Anderson is off to a hot start hitting with a .313/.345/.627 slash line while adding 7 home runs and 17 RBI. He currently ranks amongst the Top 10 in the AL in most offensive categories. The bright spot for Mike Scioscia on the mound has been Jarrod Washburn. Washburn, who is off to a 4-0 start with an ERA of 1.29, while striking out 21 and only walking 7. See below for quick snapshot of the A.L. as of April 23rd.

My first attempt

Going to give this a shot. I’ve never really attempted to play season replays and blog how the season goes. There will be more to come as time permits.
