as the Seattle Mariners beat the Anaheim Angels by the count of 7 to 3.
 
Jeff Nelson(1-0) was given credit for the win.  He went 1 inning allowing 2
hits and no walks.  Seattle managed 10 hits in their victory.  
 
Kazuhiro Sasaki earned the save, his 4th.  Scott Schoeneweis(1-1) absorbed the
loss.  He gave up 4 runs and 7 hits in 5 and 1/3 innings.
